Police said they received numerous calls after multi-storey scaffolding along Cheung Sha Wan Road collapsed in powerful winds on Saturday. No injuries have been reported.

Typhoon Noul made landfall in southern China on Sunday morning, lashing the region with strong winds and heavy rain and forcing Hong Kong airport to cancel around 360 passenger flights.

The typhoon is the strongest to make landfall in China in 2026 to date, according to state media.
